DC Evaporative Coolers by Solar Chill

This is a solar air conditioner that won’t drain energy from your solar power system. These units operate as DC swamp coolers or evaporative coolers. 110 Degree air is cooled to 75 F by evaporating water. 8,000 BTU’s of cooling is produced for each gallon of water evaporated. Evaporation rates in the Solar Chill can range from 1 – 7 gallons per hr. The highly-efficient DC motors let you power the unit by Solar, Wind or regular household energy sources. The extremely low wattage allows the Solar Chill to operate well on just one or two PV panels during daylight hours. No batteries required. The coolers are available in 5 sizes – 800 to 5000 CFM, and 12 or 24 volt DC. 48 Volt by special order. It is necessary to duct the unit through the window or ceiling/roof. 2412HP is the best choice if using duct work. This is a true off-grid air cooler.
