This is not the case with an absorption cooling unit. In an absorption cooling system the taller the cooling unit, the better it cools. This is why EZ Freeze freezers can plunge below freezing! This freezer is excellent. Keeps everything at zero. Pretty easy set up, just to had to get the right hose at the hardware store.
The freezer seems to be well built and certainly works well. The one thing I think could be designed a little better on this particular unit is the leveling devices.
